Greetings CCMS Families,
We are excited to spotlight our wonderful library program at CCMS! Over the past couple of weeks, our ELA classes have visited the library to check out books, share their selections with classmates, and enjoy independent reading time.
A big shout-out goes to our library instructor, Mrs. Kierpiec, and library assistant, Mrs. Crosby, for creating such a welcoming and inspiring space that encourages students to read and explore. At CCMS, our goal is simple: to put a book in every child’s hand and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Greetings CCMS Families:
We offer many opportunities for our students to engage in 21st-century skills, and this week we are excited to highlight our Afterschool Robotics Team!
Our students have been collaborating to design archaeological equipment that can assist with digging and drilling. Soon, they will take their learning even further by creating robots capable of maneuvering this equipment. This type of hands-on collaboration strengthens creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Under the direction of STEM instructor Mr. Ed Williams, along with instructors Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Holmes, and Mr. Dewangan, our students are working hard and showing what it means to be Champions in Motion.

Greetings CCMS Families,
At CCMS, we are committed to supporting the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. As a proud PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school, we work hard to recognize and celebrate positive choices. Today we are excited to celebrate our 7th grade students for an outstanding milestone: one full month without any fights or major incidents. This achievement shows the power of teamwork, respect, and Cougar pride in action! To mark the occasion, students enjoyed a sweet reward—ice cream sundaes served by Principal Peeples and Assistant Principal Tolliver. What a fun way to celebrate such an amazing accomplishment! A big congratulations goes out to our students, teachers, and our 7th grade leadership team for creating a safe and supportive learning environment. At CCMS, we believe that every positive step counts—and today, our 7th graders proved that Champions in Motion is more than just a theme; it’s who we are.
