CONGRATULATIONS to the following students for being invited to join the Colleton County High School Music Department Tri M Music Honor Society.
Tri M is for high school musicians that go above and beyond the state and national standards and exhibit the highest qualities of performance in music today.
New member induction was held February 20, 2025 in the Performing Arts Center at Colleton County High School. Chapter Advisors Tom Finigan and Dr. Dustin Ousley sponsored the annual event for high school musicians. Guest Speaker and former Band of Blue Associate Director, Joe Meshach congratulated the twenty two new members.

In honor of Black History Month today
Chef Williams, and his culinary management level 2 students did a culinary expo showcasing their project. The students had to research a black pioneer that paved the way for innovations in the food industry and recreate their signature dish
This was open to the public, we had guest students from the middle school as well guest from the district











OHWEE, the culinary arts department is getting ready for their Valentines Pop up shop, these students definitely been putting in some work






Chef Williams culinary management level 2 students covered Cajun cuisines from Louisiana, and the Acadian area.
Menu consisted of:
Shrimp etoufee with yellow grits
Low country boil
Jumbo lump crab cakes
Fried fish
Fried frog legs
Red beans and rice
Dirty rice
Oyster Po boys,
And bread pudding for dessert

Congratulations to the Band of Blue VARSITY and JV Winter Guards for their outstanding performances at the 2024 Winter Guard International Regional on February 15, 2025, at Cleveland High School in Clayton, North Carolina. The Band of Blue Guards traveled overnight to the Raleigh area school for the first time and had a very successful and long day of competition.
The Band of Blue JV Winter Guard placed 3rd in the Scholastic Regional A Division prelims and earned 3rd again in finals that evening. The Band of Blue Varsity Winter Guard placed 12th out of 18 guards in the Scholastic A division. The Varsity also held their ranking in finals and remained in the top 12 in their evening performance. Both groups were amongst 32 other teams from SC, NC and Georgia. This is the first time the CCHS Band of Blue Winter Guards have ever competed on the national stage in the Sport of the Arts - Winter Guard International.
CCHS Varsity Winter Guard Captains are Tibbie Walling, Giselle Cortez and Shannon Smoak. CCHS JV Winter Guard Captains are Lilliana Nava and Emma Fitch.
Congrats to our Band of Blue guard instructors Mr. Jason Johnson, Mrs. Cathy Meshach with assistance from Ms. Lilly Boyert, Ms. Taylor Fussell, Ms. Joelle Glapinski, Mr. Anthony Crimely and Mr. Cody Dalton.
