This week started with a bang as our 9th Grade GEAR Up Summer Ignite Explorers Academy launched into action!
We were honored to have Mr.
(Civil and Community Engagement) and Ms. Latosha Gibson (Financial Literacy) to teach our students about financial literacy, government, and so much more! We are also grateful for the financial aid department from USC Salk, who came out to not only teach our students but also ensure they retained useful information for
their future college endeavors.
Throughout the week, our students prepared meals, explored health and business careers, and learned about different college and workforce options. The students were engaged and excited, enjoying every moment.
A big shoutout to our GEAR Up graduation coach James and our summer IEA staff for making this week exceptional! One week of memorable experiences down, and three more to go!
