Grading Scale
The minimum number of grades per nine weeks will be 12 for each content area.
4 grades must be Summative with a 40% weight, and 8 grades must be Formative with a 60% weight.
Summative = Tests, Projects, and other final assessments of student learning
Formative = Daily Work, Quizzes, and other checks for understanding
Award Prerequisites
Superintendent’s List: A student must receive all A’s in content areas (ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies). No grades lower than 90.
Honor Roll: A student must receive a combination of A’s and B’s in all content areas (ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies). No grades lower than 80.
Merit List: A student must receive all B’s in content areas (ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies). No grades lower than 80.
Students receiving any award designation must have passing grades in all Related Arts and/or Elective Classes.
